Ardnamurchan, Mainland Britain's most westerly point, is an ideal family retreat. It is peaceful, unhurried and friendly with miles of clean sandy beaches, coves and spectacular sea views. It is reached by an incredibly beautiful wooded road, running with ever-changing views along Loch Sunart to the Ardnamurchan lighthouse, which, at 22 miles further west than Land's End is the most westerly point on the British mainland. Protected by its remoteness, this unique ecology hosts many rare plants and wildlife, including otters, pine martens, wildcats, deer, seals, dolphins, whales, sea-eagles and a variety of other birds.

The Isle of Mull, across the water from Ardnamurchan, is an island with plenty of activities to offer. From a boat trip to Fingal’s Cave on Staffa and the Treshnish Isles to see puffins, bird life and sea mammals, to being shown by local wildlife experts where to spot otters, seals, eagles and buzzards.  The capital of Mull, Tobermory (a 35 minute ferry journey from Kilchoan) is a small fishing community built around a natural harbour, with a good selection of shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes.

Both Mull and Ardnamurchan offer opportunities for angling, birdwatching, diving, sailing, photography and hill walking, and are a true haven for those who just want to relax and enjoy the abundant "peace and tranquillity". So, if you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing holiday in the West Highlands set in beautiful countryside, just contact us and we can recommend which of the wide variety of houses, cottages and log cabins, should best suit your needs.
