Building Purchase 

The purchase of the building has the potential to make an incredible difference to our long term sustainability.  Currently owned by Highlands and Islands Enterprise(HIE) - all rental income from tenants leaves the island and goes to HIE. If TCB can become the landlord then this income will remain on Tiree and provide TCB with a crucial long term source of income.

Securing a sustainable source of income for the future will allow TCB to maintain the two part time posts within the organisation and potentially increase this in the future.

As you can see from the picture below - the building is looking very tired and is a bit of an eyesore for Crossapol residents.

If you go to the 'proposed extension' page you will see how we hope to improve the look of the entire building and blend the extension with existing building.

The income will also help to secure the long term future of the local fortnightly newspaper, An Tirisdeach, which is produced by TCB.
