Simon Gunn
Simon obtained a BA in Fine Art at Sheffield College of Art in 1968, before training as a secondary school art teacher. He taught for 2 years in London, then a further 9 years in Shetland. He moved to the Black Isle in 1982, joining and exhibiting with the Cromarty Group the following year.
Most of his paintings are landscapes, in watercolour or oils. He has no rigid style, as different themes lead to very different drawings and paintings. Simon also carves figures in stone, often found locally.
