Pottery

 

The main artistic activity in the Barrel house pottery is - POTTREY!!!

Our studio is based in our bedroom, where we create functional and decorative pots, such as: mugs, plates, bowls, candle-holders, tea-pots, tea-bowls,chalices, platers, jewlery & sculptures.

We fire our pots in a gas-kiln, at high tempatures of 1280c, and we are planning to build a wood kiln soon as it is a more sustinable way of firing pots.

It is our joy to be surrounded by objects that are beautiful but also that are usuful for a happy life, and that is what we aim to create.

The Findhorn Foundation also offers the possibility of experiencing clay and paintings through the Spiritual Practice week-clay.

We offer art classes in the Moray Art Centre for children, adults and families.

The Studio and Gallery are open all year round.
