Thamesdown will be operating a FREE shuttle bus service 175 between the Outlet Village and Town Centre between 1/8/15 & 5/9/15 in partnership with inSwindon BID.
It will serve the following stops only:
Outlet Village (Kemble Drive)
Farnsby Street (Stop A)
Regent Circus (Stop A)
Fleming Way (Stop Y)
Rail Station
The service will use a single deck bus as it will run under the low Whitehouse Bridge, the bus on the poster looks like an Enviro200 Dart, but I suspect they will use an MPD or similar due to the bridge. If successful then this service may become permanent.
The service will operate every 20 mins from 0949 (Farnsby Street stop) until 1805 (last bus back from Outlet Village)
It will run 7 days a week at the same times.
The bus will run in one direction only as shown above and will return direct to the Outlet Village from the Rail Station
In Swindon will offer a temporary inSwindon Loyalty Card on the bus free of charge, this card gives various discounts & offers in Swindon Town Centre.
Full details can be found on the following links:
inSwindon BID (Swindon Town Centre)
For the timetable click on the link below, for other bus via the Outlet Village that you will have to pay £1.50 per Adult & £1.40 per child to travel on (or £5 for 2 Adults & 2 Children) then click on the all bus timetables link.
This service is a welcome addition to Swindon as other Towns & Cities have Free or cheap buses e.g. Warrington have a bus that charges 20p per journey, however this is not the first time such a service has operated as a shuttle bus was ran on a similar route when the Outlet Village first opened as service 19 in partnership with what is now First Great Western.
Swindon Buses will keep you up to date with this service and wish the partnership the best of luck with its new venture.
