Keyboard Guests

Star players who played iive on Swansea Sounds Keyboard Programme included the following:

Brian Sharp - voted as Britain's top player by the readers of Keyboard & Music Maker magazine.   Brian played live on the Dutch made Riha Orchestra.

 

 

Keith Beckiingham - presented a special show to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Hammond Organ.

 

 

 

Howard Beaumont - played at the American made Baldwin Electronic Organ.   Howard was the UK's chief demonstrator for Baldwin organs.

 

 

Michael Brent - presented an hour of deightful music on the American made Kimball electronic organ.

 

 

 

Franz Lambert - who travelled all the way from Germany to play the Heilios Wersi organ.

 

 

 

Byron Jones - often travelled from his home town of Newport to play on Keyboard with his portable Hammond Organ.    Byron loved chatting to listeners.

 

 

 

Max Takano -  a Japanese wizard on the ivory keys.    Played a Yamaha organ during his tour of the UK.

Tim Cooper -  played a German made wersi organ in the style of Klaus Wunderlich - a player who sold millions of 'pop organ' records resulting in 12 gold discs

Alex Leader - was one of the UK demonstrators for Technics and played a top of the range models during his visit.

John Van Til - a Dutch man who spoke perfect English.   John was the chief demonstrator for Rhia Electronic Organs and played the 'Orchestria' model during his show spot.

All the guest players played at the studio after the Swansea Sound Engineers set up the microphones and balanced the sound for the stereo broadcasts,  Three of the engineers are pictured below:
