The starting point was a ceiling decoration in Malaga cathedral. The motivation was the changing and uncertain quality of visual reality compounded by the profusion of visual sensation experienced in such places.

The colours are taken from an iconic image of the Virgin [Malaga Cathedral, 2003] and evoke candle light, rich fabrics, lace, precious metals and stones.
