About me
Hi I’m Stacey Marie Heward Im a Grade II Para Dressage Rider. I Live in Cannock with my fantastic husband Matt & our dog Tye. Although Base myself in Telford.
Background
I started riding when I was Eleven years old, on a horse called Summer, which was at a local trekking centre as a gift from an aunt for my birthday present, Since then I've been hooked on anything to do with horses.
When I was 14-15 I worked at a trekking centre local to my home, either taking people out on treks or walking with people that needed a lead rein. I then quit whilst doing GCSE’s as I just didn’t have the time, going back to horses when I was 17.
Even though I worked for a living I had a horse called Harry on loan for quite a long time & then Andy (right photo) until they unfortunately had to be retired.
Para Dressage
I’ve been a Para Dressage Rider since 2010 due to a complex neurological condition involving my brain & spine. Decons Giorgi & I competed at West Mercia RDA Regionals in 2013 gaining 1st place in Freestyle & 3rd place in our Championship Test.
