Message Board

Welcome to the SLRC Message Board. If you want to team up for transport, let others know about a training night or day out...or just want to explain why you ran so badly in your last event - here's the place to do it.

Lyndale Run
Car shares? Meet at school at 10.10am???
Perhaps cut down on number of cars needed? North end? Let me know if you want picked up at Borve?

Kinloch/ Craig Dunain
Thanks for the Kinloch run, I really did enjoy it......after I recovered, but it was great to get back into it. (last competitive run was 6+ years ago)
Broadford soup/sandwiches was so good too!!
Ran in Inverness today (winter handicaps)couldn't give them a 10k time to calculate handicap coz I haven't run one for 6+yrs. Was teasing them up by wearing SLRC vest..but 1st place really wound them up.

well done Charlie-flying the flag (well vest) and showing these Invernessians what's what.

Kinloch run
What a great day, thanks everybody for lifts and course management etc. Everyone l spoke to enjoyed themselves, and a great way to end it....at the church. Well done. Look forward to Braes now..... Didnt Paddys knee look sore...probably was an all.....Scott Kennedy ....when are you having that rocket surgically removed? lol lol. x fiona

Agreed Fiona. A cracking day. It was obviously our approval of the church arrangements that brought about the almost perfect window in the weather for the race.

Absolutely loved the course...so much so that Linda and I went for another jaunt around on Monday afternoon in the pouring rain...meant wading through some burns that never existed on Saturday!

Paddy - collected one of your wee yellow arrows that you missed. You were maybe blinded by the pain from your knee...

Oh, and as for 4 miles? Obviously those 'Skye miles' which are a wee bitty longer than the normal ones...the GPS told a different story!!!

Looking forward to Braes. Hopefully running there won't be too uncomfortable with the rocket up ma erchie!!!

Due to work commitments its doubtful whether l will be there to witness Scoot an his rocket propelled erchie! I really wanted to be there even if its to wear my NEW SLRC TOP!!!!!lol lol Wilma promised me it would make me go faster...I wanna be there!e!! Drat and double drat, .....praying for a shift swap.

Scott

Thanks for picking up the route marker I missed, must have flown passed it on the MTB, aye right! More like my head was were you've got that rocket fitted!

I measured Kinloch as 4.25 miles with my Garmin. What did yours say it was?

Cheers

Think we got 4.41 miles. Measured the track back from the base of the zigzags as 2.07 miles, which felt about right for the level of effort I was putting in! Regardless, a quality route...
