Wednesday 15th October.

The final details (dragons eyes, points of light on the chequered floor!) have been added to a new design called: 'Illumination'. This design is on artist's 'line and wash' board and is A2 in size (about 42 x 59 cm).

The stages of work:

A detailed preliminary drawing was made on a sheet of sketch paper.

The drawing was traced.

The tracing was transferred onto artist's board.

The design was lined-in with black artist's pens.

This image was photographed and opened in a graphics program.

Several full colour trial versions were made on computer.

Finally, the design was painted using high quality gouache.

 

This work will soon be for sale as a high quality print.
