Knockout Competitions

There are two competitions. The main one is for the Lees Shield. First round losers in that competition are then entered into the Plate Knock Out

Both competition finals are held on the same day at the same ground. Each club is asked to bring scorecards filled out and one raffle prize with them.
In addition two raffle prizes will be provided by the League . The raffle proceeds to go to the host club as recompense for providing tea and biscuits free of charge to players and spectators

FORMAT
Played to the same rules as the league matches except as below. The side winning 2 rinks is the winner.

If a team can only field 2 rinks they should advise the opposition of this before the game.  They then forfeit one rink to the opposition, no shots being awarded as these are not relevant.  In the exceptional circumstances where, on the day, one team brings 3 rinks to a game and the opposition can only field 2 rinks the 3 rink captain determines which of their rinks play

If each side wins a rink and draws a rink then the winner is decided by the drawn rink playing an extra end/s.

Should all 3 rinks draw then all three play an extra end/s. This principle also applies where only 2 rinks are played.  The winner being the side that wins at least 2 rinks.

Should. one side win one rink and the other two be drawn then that side is the winner.

After each match the winning side is asked to email/phone/use contact page on this website to Robert Patterson with the result almost immediately.

Many thanks in advance.
