As always, the arrival of the President's cup, heralds the beginning of a new season for the WDSFL.

Each season, the first three weeks are reserved for the preliminary group matches of The President's Cup.

This season, Sacred Heart were submitting two teams into all cup competitions, and of course the league.

Sacred Heart Celtic was formed in the close season and now represent Sacred Heart' as their second team.

Celtic will play in the First Division of the WDSFL.

Sacred Heart's first team (Hearts) will play in the Premier league of the WDSFL.

Both teams were drawn against tough opposition in The President's Cup.

Hearts were drawn against Prince of Wales, Stockport Athletic and the fourth drawn team has dropped out.

Celtic were drawn against Benchill Rovers, Greenbrow Social Club and Park Villa.
