WOW! Things really have taken a 360 degree turn in just a few days. We were all set to go to Amsterdam in January, when the airfare shot up to £123 per person in the space of just one week. At this rate, and without actually having anybody's monies handed in yet,(preventing me from getting a good deal) the total fare per person, will be astronomical, by the time everyone has paid for this trip. So, time for a rethink methinks, and of course, to share some good news with you all about Dublin instead! I've now had word back from the Manager of Tolka Rovers in Dublin, who is brimming with enthusiasm over us wanting to play an 'International friendly' (Irish for 'piss up') at their stadium. Tolka Rovers have their own Sports and Social Club too! If you're interested in checking them out, then go to www.tolkarovers.com They want to play us on one of the saturdays in late February, instead of January, because the weather is pretty rough in Eire in January. They'll help with finding cheap accommodation too, and are keen on us returning the compliment back in England! Airfare is much cheaper to Dublin, and the hotels or hostels are just five minutes from the world famous Temple Bars. This doesn't rule out Amsterdam though, as we can always organize something for the end of the season in the Naughty Netherlands! - Can't we Boys? So, lots to think about, but when you really do have a think about it, i don't suppose everybody on the team, could 'just come up with' huge amounts of Amsterdam money, at this time of the year anyway could they? We'll obviously all get a chance to speak about it on Sunday, after we've trounced The Bay Malton eh lads? Secretary
