Ian Irving

Former Journalist and graphic designer. Ian has been painting and drawing (and printmaking) for more than 40 years. Mainly self taught, he has exhibited his art work in various galleries in London and Wales.

Ian was born in London but has a Lockerbie connection - his father was born there and his grandfather and great grandfather were joiners and cabinet makers in the town. Ian and his partner are now living in Corsock near Castle Douglas.

He works in mainly acrylic or oils, painting the landscape (and some townscapes) around him. He will accept commissions (though not for portraits, an area he has yet to explore!)
