Wallace Monument
Built on top of Abbey Craig the monument is 220 feet high.
Designed by James Rochead of Glasgow.
It was erected in 1869 to commemorate the Scottish patriot Sir William Wallace.
There is a staircase of 246 steps leading to the top of the Tower which houses Wallace's broadsword.
