Care for Footwear

Once you have your lovely new boots, it is important to care for them correctly.

If you plan to wear them in rainy weather, they will appreciate a nice dose of Nikwax or other similar footwear waterproofing.

If they do happen to get wet, don't put them anywere too warm to dry out.  They will not like being near a radiator!  They need to dry out slowly, with some newspaper inside to help them along, otherwise the leather may dry too fast leading to cracking and splitting, which cannot be repaired.  However, do let them dry out in the air, or they may fall victim to mould...

Give your new boots the TLC they need and they will last you for years!

Should they become damaged or well-worn, give Peter a call and he will see what he can do for them!
