Jealous Mpofu recently visited Bishop Gilpin School Wimbledon

PDC’s Award-winning Tracker Jealous Mpofu recently visited Bishop Gilpin Church of England School Wimbledon and gave a talk on his role in conserving the ‘Painted Dogs’ living in and around Hwange National Park Zimbabwe.

Jealous is a the recipient of the ‘Disney Wildlife Conservation Hero Award’ for his dedication & commitment over the many years he has been working for PDC.

School parent Kate Oppenheim commented, “The children absolutely loved the talk. All the children were coming up to him afterwards to ask questions, they were very engaged."

The South London school has an established link with PDC, supporting Mbale Primary, a rural school located close to the national park. Pupils, families and teachers since 2009, have raised £3.500 to help create a new teacher accommodation building.
