Here's the December highlights . . .

The big headline in December was five time ODA Singles League Champion Stevie Linklater scored his first ever 170 checkout in a 9-8 victory over Ivan Leslie. Stevie also had a 105 checkout and 2 x 180s and Ivan had a 180 and a 116 checkout. In total there were 30 x ton plus checkouts with Stevie and Leigh Shearer hitting the most with four each. Leigh also checked out December’s second highest check with a 143 against Bruce Moar. Leigh’s match with Ivan produced two ton plus checkouts apiece to equal the most ton plus checkouts in a match.

There were 43 x 180 and a 171 from Linda Harcus. Stevie Linklater recorded the most 180s with six and James Flett had 3 x 180s in his 9-2 win over Neil Drever.

From the 85 scheduled matches 75 were played with 12 matches finishing 9-8 and 6 matches finished 9-7. Raymond Rendall returned to the league with style scoring two whitewash wins in his first month back and Dave Noble also won with a whitewash.

There were two 12 dart legs, one from Ivan Leslie in his 9-8 win over Brian Moar and Stevie Linklater had a 12 darter in his 9-2 win over Leigh Shearer and for the third month in a row Stevie Linklater won all his games in the top league with a top average of 81.3 against Ivan Leslie.
