Sometimes words can’t describe the best of the best.  Our Original Orkney Ice Cream is something that we are quite proud of.  Made very simply, in small batches in the family dairy, Orkney Ice Cream is perhaps a little different to most other production ice-creams, in that you can, in fact, taste our fresh sweet cream in every mouthful.

 

Of course over the years we have grown our flavour range; both to help grow our business and to respond to the variety of tastes that our customers tell us they want to explore.

 

So alongside the ‘Original’ Orkney Ice Cream we have family favourites Vanilla, Strawberry, Raspberry and Chocolate available in retail packs, but our production processes also allow us to ‘play’ a little with smaller specialised batches, so that our full range of scooping ice-cream includes Toffee Fudge, Toffee Swirl, Apple Crumble, Crannachan, Marmalade Cheesecake, Mint Choc Chip, Coconut, Rhubarb and custard, Millionaire Shortbread  etc etc.

VIRTUALLY FAT FREE FROZEN YOGHURT

 

Yes we know this sounds like something just for those on a health kick, or for the growing number of specialised yoghurt or smoothie bar type outlets, but our new range of frozen yoghurts have performed so incredibly well in all our taste tests that we are keen to bring them to the attention of all our ice-cream customers.  Made from a clever combination of incredibly low-fat skimmed Orkney milk and fat free natural yoghurt, our base frozen yoghurt product, from which all of the flavoured range stems, is surprisingly soft to the mouth and hugely refreshing when tasted alongside regular ice-cream.  Our Orkney Frozen Yoghurt range now includes scooping frozen yoghurt for cones or tubs – look out for it in your local Orkney Ice Cream freezer cabinet – ‘shots’ of frozen yoghurt for blending with fresh fruit or juices and liquid frozen yogurt mix, ready to use for those with their own soft-serve freezer dispense units.
