A few chips to the front buffer beam & the inevitable scratch to the bunker back caused by the coupling, otherwise a super bright clean example. Brunofix; coupling, connecting & control rods. Key & lamps in packets plus paperwork. Crisp box with slight corner rubs, dated 6:53, with inner wrapper.

Super clean wheels indicate that this has never been used, lovely matt paintwork with no signs of handling. Small paint chip to footplate below key hole but the chunky keys supplied at this period are very tight fit, could be as a result of factory testing. Brunofix (chemically blackened) rods & tender axles. Key & lamps in packets, matching paperwork. Crisp clean boxes with L.M.S. labels & inner wrapper, loco box dated 4:52, tender box 3:52. Overall very near mint.

Only produced 3 seasons; 1947 -49. A difficult one to assess, the footplate refinished to a very good standard & buffer beams repainted, the lithographed body is very clean & free of scratches with excellent bright gold lining. Comes in a factory repair box with inner wrapper & an appropriate key. Overall a very smart loco & ideal for use on a layout.

Unusual to find in anything other than trashed condition, this one is near mint old shop stock. Pristine bright litho finish to both loco & tender. Bunofix rods & tender axles. Key in packed, matching paperwork & test tag. Crisp clean boxes with minimal storage wear, loco date 4:51, tender 11.51, both with green identity labels.

No.20. Unused, ex shop stock, again an exception to the rule. Version with dark orange lining. Test tag still attached, key & matching paperwork dated 7:58. Super crisp clean boxes. Quite simply mint.

No.30. Again, no signs of use, super bright clean condition, the cab window on one side have dulled due to contact with the box over many years & the tiniest of scratches to cab side (key contact?). Sorry, no paperwork with this one but comes with a key. Crisp clean boxes. Overall 9 out of 10.

No 40 Early. A great example of the earlier version of the No.40 B.R. Tank Loco with the lion over wheel logo. Unused, ex shop stock, minor coupling mark to bunker back plate & a couple of factory assembly marks. Perfect bright plating to the rods. Key & lamps in packets + paperwork dated 1:55, inner wrapper. Crisp clean box with minor edge wear. Near mint.

Unused, ex shop stock. Late version with lion holding wheel totem, much harder to find that its predecessor. The inevitable coupling mark to the bunker bake plate otherwise simply stunning. Perfect bright plating to the rods. Key & lamps in packets, matching paperwork for 1:61. Inner card wrapper, crisp clean box with slight edge wear to one end.
