Pheasants enjoy their garden nibbles

We're seeing the slow shift of winter-feeding birds being replaced by summer visitors. This male and sometimes two females arrive in the early morning just after I've sprinkled their favourite 'buggy nibbles' on the ground. Although the woodpeckers have been scarce over the past few months, we've enjoyed visits from tree sparrows and collared doves along with all the 'regulars': chaffich, robin, blackbird, blue tit, coal tit, great tit, goldfinch, dunnock (and, with the arrival of spring, the annoying starling).
