It's one of my two favourite times in the orchard: when the apple trees are in blossom (the other being, of course, when the fruit is ripening in the autumn). It promises to be a good year to harvest apples. Hopefully, there will be an abundance of fruit when Transition Black Isle holds an Apple Day in the garden on 11 October.
