Why is it that every event in the 'Sea Cromarty Sparkle' calendar seems to be a signal for the heavens to open up? Fortunately, the Friday night downpour had settled down to a dull drizzle by Saturday morning, and we had our Traidcraft and plant stalls up and running by noon. Although sales would have improved if the weather had been more favourable, we were pleased to raise £136 for Christian Aid with our flowerpots and herbs. Our thanks to Dawn, Anne and all the others who organised the first Cromarty Food Festival.
