
It seems to be apples 'morning, noon and night' these days. Even the kitchen table has been pressed into use (sorry!). The cartons of Katy apple juice are rapidly filling up the chest freezer, and we haven't started on the applesauce or apple crumble yet.
Somehow, when we re-planted the old orchard ten years ago,
I don't think we realised future harvests would be quite so labour-intensive.
