About Oban Walkers

Oban Walkers is primarily a walking club, but it is also  a group of friends who enjoy being outdoors.

Oban Walkers appreciate the fact that they live in an area of Scotland of outstanding natural beauty.

Oban Walkers was formed over 30 years ago by a group of friends.

Oban Walkers welcome new members.

Whether new to the area or on holiday, we would like you to join Oban Walkers

The main stipulation is that all walkers take responsibility to look after their own safety, and that of others.  This includes wearing the appropriate clothes for the type of walk and weather conditions.

Oban Walkers usually walk every second Sunday, with the occasional additional walk in between.

Some of our members are retired but Oban Walkers is open to all like-minded people and welcome walkers of all ages.  Walks are very varied to suit all abilities and vary between approximately 6 to 10 miles.

Oban Walkers normally meet at 10 am in the Lochavullin car park, adjacent to Tesco Supermarket in Oban. We normally car share and passengers are requested to make a small contribution to the cost of petrol.

Oban Walkers observe the Country Code and individuals are responsible for their own accident cover.

Oban Walkers go on walks at their own risk.
