In the 1^st Leg of the 1^st Round of the John Thornton Plate, the Fleece Inn thrashed fellow Division B team, the Black Horse 8-1. The Buck Inn, N’ton, without a win this season, gave the Old Royal George B from Division C a 7-2 trouncing & both of those teams will be feeling confident of progressing to the Quarter Final. Elsewhere, all other games finished 5-4. The Coore Arms from Division B hold a slender 5-4 lead over the Black Bull from Division A. The Willow Tree from Division C also have a slender 5-4 advantage going into the 2^nd Leg against fellow Division C team the White Swan & current Division C’s 2^nd placed team the Tickle Toby also lead 5-4 after the 1^st Leg, against fellow Division C team the Masons Arms.
