Sorry to trouble you with this email, but I wish to contact you with regards to Ladies darts.

I have recently given up playing super league to run a Ladies Singles League in Hitchin, with the support of a darts supplier it is a very enjoyable Sunday afternoon for the 14 ladies involved who play each other twice during the course of the season, with trophies on offer and a website.

The reason I am contacting you is that I would like to help promote the ladies game better and my idea is to set up Ladies Singles Leagues in other areas, taking part on Sunday afternoons (although Saturdays would be considered dependant on the amount of interest in certain leagues.)

This is in no way to compete with any local, super league or county formats, it is just a Sunday afternoon singles league for ladies players.

With a singles league represeting different areas the league winners and runners-up of each individual league would then go on to play in the National Play-Offs with other league winners/runners-up.

I still have half a season to go with the current league I run, I am hoping to get this idea off the ground for next year.

There would be a website with all the fixtures and stats, media and sponsorship coverage and each league would receive trophies for League Champion, League Runner-Up, Knockout Champion and Runner-up, Most ton+, Highest Check-Out and Most 180s.

I would love to be able to have these singles leagues set up in other areas with just one nominated person who I could email the fixtures for that particular Sunday and they would just email me back with results, ton+ and check-outs, so no real hard work there. I would then update the website and keep track of the stats.

A good number for the singles league would be say 8-20 players.

Please could you let me know if there would be any interest regarding this from your particular area, it is an enjoyable and competitive afternoon, which only lasts a few hours as each player plays one game a week (format can be best of 3 or 5 - 501). And there is the chance to play the best of the other players from around the country.

It helps established players with their game and it also draws in new and young players as I have found from the league I run.
