The next NDDL Committee Meeting will take place on Wednesday 18^th November 2009, at the Buck Inn, High Street, Northallerton, commencing at 8.00pm. All Committee members are requested to attend. At the meeting the draws for the Challenge Cup 2^nd Round & the John Thornton Plate 1^st Round, will take place. 

Challenge Cup 1st Round - 1st Leg Round-Up

Last season’s Challenge Cup winners the Blue Bell B, got their defence off to a fine start with a 7-2 victory over Division C new boys the Old Royal George B. Current Division A leaders the Kings Head, made light work of the Black Horse from Division B with a 9-0 win & the Lord Nelson from Division A had a comfortable 8-1 win against the Crown B from Division C. In the Division A clashes the Old Royal George A defeated the Black Bull 7-2 & the match between the Haynes Arms & the Station Hotel is finely balanced at 5-4 to the Station Hotel. In the Division B clashes the Oddfellows Arms beat the Buck Inn, Northallerton 7-2, the Crown A defeated the Fleece Inn 7-2 & the Arden Arms defeated the Coore Arms 7-2. In the Division C clashes the Queen Catherine surprised current Division C leaders the Masons Arms with a 7-2 victory & the match between the Tickle Toby & the Otterington Shorthorn is finely balanced at 5-4 to the Otterington Shorthorn. In the other matches played the Beeswing from Division B defeated the Willow Tree from Division C 6-3 & the Golden Lion from Division C held the Blue Bell A from Division A to a narrow 5-4 defeat. Finally, the White Swan from Division C narrowly lost 5-4 to the Buck Inn, Maunby from Division B.
