The draw for the 1st Round of the Challenge Cup 2009/2010 took place at the monthly Committee Meeting at the Buck Inn, Northallerton, on Tuesday 6th October 2009.

Last seasons Challenge Cup winners the Blue Bell B, drew new Division C team the Old Royal George B, whilst the other new Division C team, the Tickle Toby, face a tough match with fellow Division C team the Otterington Shorthorn.

Last seasons John Thornton Plate winners the Oddfellows Arms, face fellow Division B team the Buck Inn, Northallerton, whilst John Thornton Plate runners-up the Fleece Inn face a tough match against fellow Division B team the Crown A.

Other notable matches see all Division A clashes as the Haynes Arms face the Station Hotel and the Old Royal George A face the Black Bull. The Coore Arms face the Arden Arms in all Division B clash and the Masons Arms face the Queen Catherine in all Division C clash.
