After learning that the White Swan had closed it's doors last month, Sunday 23rd November 2008 saw the Oddfellows Arms in Northallerton open it's doors for the last time under the current Licensee, but yet again the closure does not signal the end of the Oddfellows Arms A and B Teams.

Whilst the players consider a number of potential venues in and around the town, the Oddfellows Arms A team used the Cricket Club on Monday night for their home fixture against the Station Hotel, running out 6-3 victors after losing the first two singles matches.

The Oddfellows Arms B team played away at the Masons Arms, recording a 7-2 victory and firmly cementing their position at the top of the C Division.

Would all League teams please note that both the League Secretary and the Oddfellows Arms A & B team Captains will ensure that their opposition on a week to week basis will be notified well in advance of where the Oddfellows Arms intend to play their home matches.

Let's hope that this unfortunate closure of another North Yorkshire public house is the last for quite some time.
