The league has today learned that the White Swan at Danby Wiske has closed for the foreseeable future, but that does not signal the end for the White Swan darts team.

As from Monday 20th October 2008, the White Swan are to play their home games from the Arden Arms, at Atley Hill, ironically commencing with their League fixture against the Arden Arms.

The following week will see them play host to the Blue Bell B in the 1st leg of their Challenge Cup 1st Round match, after which the regular League programme will re-commence.

It has been necessary to reverse some of the League games, so that neither the White Swan, nor the Arden Arms are at home on any occasion and all teams within the B Division have been notified of the revised fixture arrangements.

Lets hope that this is the last of the public house closures for the remainder of this season.
