Today the League learned that the Three Coopers from Bedale have resigned from the League, due to a lack of players. They failed to turn-up for their opening match against the Otterington Shorthorn on Monday 6th October 2008 and following a telephone call to the Three Coopers, the League discovered that they had insufficient players and do not anticipate attracting any further players, hence they offered to resign.

All teams in the C Division will be notified in writing by the League of their resignation, which unfortunately means an additional Bye week in each half of the League for the remaining teams in the C Division. It is therefore suggested that the two teams affected each week play each other in a practice match.
