The Amazon is vast it borders 8 countries. It contains the Worlds biggest river basin and incredibly source of one-fifth of all free-flowing fresh water on the planet.
The Rainforests are some of the most beautiful in the World and home to 1 in 10 known plant and animal species on Earth. On going scientific research as highlighted many similarities between the well-being of the Amazon to help the integrity of the global environment that we all belong to.
One of the most startling facts about the Amazon is that just a minor fraction of its biological diversity is known. Today the biggest danger and threat comes from deforestation from many groups such as farming developers. It is believed that by the year 2030 55% of the Rainforests could be lost, which could have an enormous overall affect on the Worlds climate.
WHAT CAN BE DONE TO SAVE THE RAINFOEST
So now we are all aware of the importance of this region of the World and its importance in countries such as ours. One of the largest charity corporations helping to avoid future disasters for the global climate is the WWF ( World Wildlife Fund ).
The WWF used their expertise and vision for a long-term solution to the many challenges that the Amazon faces. Using strong scientific backup to conserve the regions resources. This is done by working with local communities and partnering with Governerments.To answer and create solutions for improving the regions economical development and conservation.
The WWF do most of their work by bringing together people and by introducing both landscaping and aquatic systems region-wide to improve efforts in planning, leadership and cordination, and then by using global influences of market forces to reach their various programs ultimate goals.
