Meet Sandie Meet Sandie, our newest addition. Technically she isn't really mine but the new fur baby of my daughter and granddaughter. Shes a delightful little puppy who fits in very well with our own pack of fur babies. |

Meet Toby This is Toby. He is 10 years old and and a German Shepherd cross Collie. He acquired us from the RSPCA in Hampshire in 2006. He's a very independant sole who loves being with children. He is a fabulous dog to work with and brilliant when working with reactive dogs. He simply doesn't care. He seems to give confidence to dogs that don't know dog rules. Our new Collie, copies him all the time, (even the bad habits). Toby is quick to learn even in his older years. He is very trust worthy and has proved to be a fabulous member of our family over the years. He takes everything in his stride. |

Meet Trixie Trixie is ten and is a Jack Russel. We rehomed her for a friend who was moving into a flat when Trixie was one. She is a very needy little lady but also very confident. She is another one of our dogs who is a wonderful confidence giver and I have used her when working with reactive dogs. Barking and snarling doesn't faze her. She and Toby are the best of friends and given her size she is a very hardy lady. She is also very greedy and will do anything for food. |

Meet Pip Pip is a 3 year old Jack Russel who we rescued from a charity when he was 6 months old. He was plucked from a house full of dogs and we have been working hard on building up his confidence. When we got Pip he didn't trust my husband and would run away and hide when he came in from work. He would urinate when his lead was put on or if he was called. Through training we have a fabulous bond with Pip, but due to honest mistakes through lack of consistency a few backward steps have been taken. However, now using only positive action and letting Pip figure things out for himself we have moved forward. He is far more confident outside and snuggles with all members of the family inside. He will do anything for a ball or a treat. |

Meet Bess This is Bess who we rehomed just over a year ago when she was 6 months old. A very clever aloof, stubborn collie with a heart of gold. Through consistency and training (on our part and through Toby) she has turned out to be a super dog, so much so she became a PAT dog just after she turned a year old. Bess loves nothing better than to lie in the muckiest puddle she can find, run after a ball and have cuddles. She is a fabulous dog who still has lots to learn. We have also used Bess when working with reactive dogs as she really pays no attention to them. |

Meet Ginger Ginger a German Shepherd was a stray. We found her wandering the naval estate we were living on. We took her home and she settled happily alongside Shea and at the time our year old daughter. Like Shea, Ginger grew with each of our children. After we took her in, the vet aged her at about 5 years old. She stayed with us for nine years. She loved playing with the hose in the garden, lying in the muddiest of puddles and watching the children carefully. We couldn't understand why someone would let her go. Both Shea and Ginger were like nanny dogs. |

Meet Bullet Bullet came to us after Shea passed on to Rainbow Bridge. He was four and a half when we got him and totally spoilt, and unfortunately very badly socialised. When we first got him we could barely hold him on a lead he pulled so hard. He would try and jump at moving vehicles if we walked along the road, and when meeting other dogs he had no manners at all, he simply didn't know what to do. However, in the house he was a gentleman, soft as they come and could, given his size fit into any small area and sleep. I remember one day walking him in the field and scrubland behind our house shortly after we got him, the sky was black with heavy rain cloud and there was no-one else out. The heavens opened and I let Bullet off of his lead. He went and ran under a Damson bush. Realising I wasn't going to put him back on a lead, he tentatively came out from his hiding place and ran to his hearts content. Bullet stayed with us for 6 years and at the grand old age of 11 went to rainbow bridge. |

Meet Tink Tink was a character, a tired year old Yorkshire Terrier, coat matted and with a terrible flea infestation. After careful attention he gained a clean bill of health and was one of the feistiest Yorkies I've known. He was also an amazing escape artist, who could smell a female in heat and jump out of windows or sneak out of the tiniest gaps to get his wicked way. He managed long walks right up until the day before he went to Rainbow bridge at the grand old age of 14. |
|
Meet Shea Shea was our first dog (a weimeraner cross spaniel) and given to us when she was just a year old. She had puppies just before we got her and was in a very sorry state. Shea grew with our three children as each one of them came along. She was a gentle soul and very loving. She stayed with us for 11 years and quietly went to rainbow bridge when she was 12 and a half. To this day she is missed terribly. |

Meet Skruffy. One day in May 2002 my husband took my children to a football match and I took my friend to the local RSPCA centre in Stubbington. Skruffy chose me! I put my hands through his run to stroke him and he trapped my hands with his paws and proceeded to slobber all over them. It was without doubt love at first sight. He was eight years old and not a bad bone in his body. He loved muddy puddles, playing ball and could take your fingers off when a biscuit was offered. He was a darling boy who bought us a lot of happiness and fitted in well to our life. We had him until February 2006 when he passed on to Rainbow Bridge peacefully in his sleep. A character we miss very much. |
