For Short-Stay Guests

This page details the Common Standards which have been established within Lothian House for proprietors who are doing holiday/short-stay lets.

It will also have a section which includes the relevant House Rules so that holidaymakers will know what is expected of them.

It should be noted that short-stay guests DO NOT have any access to the Lothian House Leisure Suite.

Common Standards for Short Term Lets in Lothian House:

a) No parties or stag/hen groups.

b) Over-occupancy or sub-letting is not permitted. Guests must be restricted to a maximum of two adults per double bed, with maximum two children on double sofabeds. No sleeping on the floor.

e) Guests Must be shown how to use the doors, no tailgating allowed.

f) Lothian House is not a hotel, people are living in the building.

g) Guests should be respectful towards neighbours and keep noise down, especially during quiet time between 10pm and 8am.

h) The building is being refurbished, it is being cared for and not being left in a state of disrepair, visitors are encouraged to take care of the facilities.

i) Guest information must be provided by landlords, eg as a house manual including how to use appliances, house rules, fire escape routes, laundry, refuse disposal, etc.
