KNC's newest bed at the Putting Green has had the first of the plants put in for the winter. In keeping with the orienteering theme most of the plants are woodlanders which will cope with the sandy soil and exposed siting of the bed. So there are low growing and dwarf conifers, winter and spring flowering heathers and other ground cover evergreens. We have also put in some bulbs: scillas, anemone blanda and dwarf narcissus. 

More flowering plants and grasses will be added next spring and by, next summer it should be putting on a colourful show.

A group of Nairn's orienteers will help to maintain the bed.
