Early season honey bees have benefitted in the recent spring sunshine from the nectar provided by the drifts of crocuses planted by KNC and its volunteers.

The purple and white crocuses along the A96 at Balmakeith have been buzzing with them.

The crocuses and snowdrops are the first floral colour around the town and will soon be followed by the blossom of the trees at the Cemetery Field and the daffodils all around the town.
