KNC has decided to add more colour to Viewfield by creating a new flower bed in front of Dr Grigor's statue by the Museum. There used to be two flower beds in front of and behind the statue, but The Highland Council grassed them over several years ago when they cut back on many of the seasonal beds in the town.

The new bed will initially be a mix of perennial native plants and annuals, so should look like a small meadow. We hope the Viewfield rabbits will resist the temptation to munch on the new plants.

Sleigh Landcapes have generously given their time to cut the turf for KNC

KNC volunteers have prepared the bed, put in the first plants & sown seeds.

We hope it will be full of colour by the time the Picnic in the Park marking the Queen's Jubilee takes place.
