Teaching 30 minute slots as part on "Speedcrafting" in HUNG Gallery Inverness march 2011 to summer 2012

Feb 2009 – June 2010  Visiting artist to Inverness College to help students develop and question their work, so they can achieve their goals.

May 2008  3 afternoon seminars over 3 days talking to prospective students about my work and the facilities at Grays, and answering any questions

June – Sep 2007  Summer placement with jeweller and lapidary Mr J, M Pearce.  Focused on stone-setting skills, hand fabrication and polishing techniques.

Raised £500 for charity by completing 10,000ft Skydive.

Qualifications and Skills.

Grays School of Art

4th yr –

Self directed year, developing selected techniques and research areas.  Full personal responsibility, of time management, direction of work, progress of work and final resolutions.  Also an 8000 word dissertation relevant to studio practices.

3rd yr –

3 week Multi disciplinary project, working in a team situation designing a product to raise awareness and funds for a local charity.  Aim to create prototypes and present the product successfully.  As chairperson I was responsible for keeping the team motivated, organising meetings and completing the project on time

Live competition with Sandy Menzies, aim to utilise specific techniques for commercial production jewellery, also involving drawing and presentation skills.

Self directed projects, display the ability to plan and manage personal time, development of technical skills also progression of presentation and drawing skills and the ability to produce work at degree level.

2nd yr –

Projects focused on working with Glass, Plastic, Metal and Ceramics, regular Life Drawing classes at diploma level, also Photoshop and Rhino computer modules.

1st yr –

Diagnostic year covering 6 subjects encompassing both fine art and design.

Inverness College –

Achieved a City and Guilds Qualification in Interior Design, where I developed technical drawing skills, knowledge of fabric printing and making, also scale model building techniques.

Completed NC in Art involving basic art knowledge and techniques

Millburn Academy –

Gained 4 Highers and 9 Standard grades.
