Today I finally got my official document that allows me to arrange processing and sale of our own single farm produced fleeces.
This is exciting.. even though I am still not quite sure how I managed to have sheep for almost 7 years without realising I needed to deal with the British Wool Marketing Board.. Thank you Jane Cooper - Wool Sack for educating me in this matter).
I will continue to do my best, both with production of a useful and valuable products as well as working to (or above) required current standards of livestock management and land husbandry.
This wee laminated form is really only important to me.. but I thought you might like to share in this tiny milestone.
(I think that leaves the only official paperwork goal for me - and that would be part of a Farm Assurance scheme... but while I meet the standards, at the moment I am not able to foot the bill for that.)
