Knits etc
I wish I was faster at hand knitting! All items are made with love in our own wool. I tend to work for specific orders, selling several 'seawall' scarves and many pairs of 'wrist warmers' (fingerless gloves) in the natural colours of cream, grey or brown. 
I also enjoy knitting unique and quirky handbags, using the natural variety of our yarn colours and textured stiches to create stunning one off pieces.
At the Tomb of the Eagles (S Ronaldsay, Orkney) they found heaps of limpit shell rings when they excavated the burial cairn. On our visit there the guide was saying they didn't know what these had been used for. I enjoy collecting them from the beaches on Shapinsay and using a line of graded rings as decoration along the base of my bags. I like to think those who used the Tomb f the Eagles also used them for decorating ceremonial gowns and bags.
I hope to master socks and welly boot cuffs this for next seasons stock.
