Sitting in my (south facing) rear garden at lunch time yesterday I was surrounded by the wafting smell of perfume from the Hyacinths blooming in the borders. The sound of a bee buzzing around trying to get some pollen from said Hyacinths, and a gentle breeze, added to the impression that we are well into Spring. I almost had to pinch myself to believe that it is still only February.
