I was delighted to learn that we are now in the Year Of Reading 2008. What better way to spend a wet afternoon than to read a book. It so often true that the book is much better than any adaptation for film or tv. The mention of a book being filmed sends me out looking for the original, and I find yet another excellant book that I have missed through these years.

I hope that we will be able to inspire the young to read regularily, It is a great escape, source of information (wether one realises it sometimes or not), and a way to relax from the stesses of the 21st Century.
