BEGINNING ENGLISH CONVERSATION

Beginning English with an emphasis on survival strategies and basic conversation. Ongoing. This class meets from 4-5:30p.m. every Fridayat the Language Centre. FREE

FIRST CERTIFICATE PREPARATION

Continuing class for preparation for the Cambridge First Certificate Examination. Meets Tuesdays 5:30-7 p.m.  Cost: £10 per session. Requires purchase of a book.

ENGLISH FOR PARENTS

This 12-week class for parents whose first language is not English. returns Thursday 8 January from 9:30 a.m.-11a.m.. If you have children at nursery or primary school or younger, then this class may be for you.  It combines conversation, reading children's books, games for the whole family, writing letters to teachers, understanding school notices and more.  The class is free and may include childcare and transportation costs.

SPANISH

ADVANCED BEGINNERS

This 6 week course for advanced beginners starts on Tuesday 13 January and runs to 17 February from 5:30-7p.m. This class is for students who are comfortable with basic vocabulary , pronunciation, greetings, and simple interactions. Classes are in Portree at the Isle of Skye Language Centre. The cost is £48.

BEGINNERS

This six week course is for complete beginners. You will learn pronunciation, numbers, days of the week, and basic greetings and interactions. It starts Tuesday 13 January from 7:15-8:15 p.m. and ends on 17 February. The cost is £32.

 

FRENCH

CONVERSATION

This class is for people who are comfortable speaking French but want to improve and stay in practice. The class meets on Thursdays from 3:30-5 p.m. at the Isle of Skye Language Centre in Portree starting 15 January and finishes 17 February. The cost is £43.

BEGINNERS

This class is for true beginners or people who haven't spoken Frnech for a long time. It starts Thursday 15 January form 2-3p.m. and the cost is £32 for the six weeks. Meet at the Isle of Skye Language Centre in Portree.

 

ITALIAN

BEGINNING ITALIAN FOR TRAVELLERS

This is a beginning course with an emphasis on vocabulary and phrases for the traveller. It starts Tuesday  13 January and runs for six weeks until 17 February from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the Isle of Skye Language Centre in Portree. The cost is £32.

 

PORTUGUESE

BEGINNING PORTUGUESE FOR TRAVELLERS

This is a beginning course with an emphasis on vocabulary and phrases for the traveller. It starts Wednesday 14 January and runs for six weeks until 18 February form 5:15-6:15 p.m. at the language centre in Portree. The cost is £32.
