I've been drawing 1:4 scale drawing of the trench. Along the length of the trench there have been different contexts. The top one is quite charcoal rich and it goes down into different contexts. We want to find out which one is the oldest. My favourite bit so far has been the scale drawing. Yesterday we cleared the first layer, and today we're excavating to see what the second layer is. We sampled the charcoal rich layer, and underneath we found something that looked a bit like white clay, which was in the trench we excavated last year.
