Great bus shelters (and other refuges)
This part of the world gets wet, very wet. There are insufficient commercial hostelries, teashops and other places of refuge in the valley to guarantee a safe retreat at times of unexpected - or continuous - cloudburst, so it is up to the individual visitor to be ingenious.
Happily, the valley is well-provided with sturdy bus shelters, most of which are only used on a weekly basis or for the school run. "Bagging" the valley's complement of these shelters is a great pastime, particularly if they become the focus of a - possibly gourmet - refreshment break.
