1993 Ergon PZ-3 National Fire Protection Dept, Beroun, Czechoslovakia. This helmet was issued just after the “Velvet Revolution”, before the division of the Czech and Slovak Republics. The design was altered a little from the earlier “communist” model PZ-3. Although the helmet has the facility to take a badge they were never issued. 1920 Jaroslav Chotebo model VZ25 This style of helmet (modified from surplus W.W.I military helmets) was used into the 1940s. With the nnexation of Czech Republic by Germany in 1938, national insignias were required to be removed from firefighters’ helmets. It is rare to find an example like this that still retains its badge.
