Diving
Diving Guide

If your ever bored on Habbo or just looking for something fun to do why not go down to the lido and have a dive?

To be able to dive you will need to be in the second section of a Habbo Lido and you will also need some gaming tickets.

When you enter the lido you need to walk far to your top left until you reach the other half of the pool. There you will see an elevator. If you don't have any gaming tickets yet, click the ticket dispenser icon, like the image on the left, to buy some. Tickets cost 1 credit for two tickets, or 6 credits for 20 tickets.

When your ready to dive click the small arrow squares that lead towards the elevator and your Habbo will line up and automatically move towards the elevator, once in it you will be at the top of the diving board.

At the top of the board you will see a panel as show on the left. Each of these buttons relate to one button on your keyboard.

To run to the end of the diving board you will need to press the "A" and "D" keys alternately and rapidly e.g. A, D, A, D, A, D etc.

When you reach the end of the board hit the Space Bar or you will jump/just fall off.

While free falling there are various moves you can use accomplish by pressing the following keys: W, E, A, S, D, Z, X

Each lido tends to have different moves relateing to each key pressed, so feel free to explore what each does.
Habbo pets
Just like real life, Habbo hotel has the option for you to buy pets. You can purchase a variety of different dogs and cats from the Habbo catalogue, however remember dogs/cats aren't just for Christmas, Sunday's or Mondays but for life!

Your pet's life starts the day it is bought, one day of real time is one year of your pet's life and just like real life your pet will become less active and more sleepy as it gets older, however hold back on the pet insurance, they never get poorly or die.

Your pet also comes with its own ID box, double click on any pet and various information is shown.

Age: In years
Hunger: If the pet is hungry or not
Thirst: If the pet is thirsty or not
Happiness: How the pet is feeling
Nature: Unique for each pet

As you can see, your pet requires food and water. If it does not get these items the happiness of the pet and it's nature will change. This isn't what you want, especially with the PPA (Pet Protection Agency) being able to check this information very easily. (Habbo Pets do not need water or food as they never die, its all about pet happiness)

Your pet becomes hungry and thirsty several times a day. Food can be bought as single portions (one food item) or in an economy package of six portions (six food items). The food will take your pet a while to eat. A healthy pet will need to eat just one portion (one food item) per day.
It will also become thirsty, get a water bowl and you’ll have an unlimited supply of water for your pet. Double-click on the bowl to re-fill it at any time. That's what I call value for money!

Apart from interacting using pet-related accessories (food, ball etc), you can use simple voice commands to tell the pet what to do. When you use these commands with your pet, you need to shout them and include the pet's name in the sentence.

Commands anyone can use are:

Sit: Makes the pet sit down
Lie down: Gets the pet to lie down
Jump: Makes the pet jump up
Speak: Gets the pet to bark/meow etc
Good: Boosts pet's ego and makes them happy

These commands can only be used by the pet owner:

Heel: Gets your pet to follow you
Come here: Makes your pet come to you
Beg: The pet will beg for a reward from you
Go away: Your pet will move away from you
Bad: Tells your pet off
Sleep: Makes your pet go back to it's basket for a nap
Play dead: Your pet will roll onto it's back and 'play dead' for a few minutes
Stacking
Stacking is probably the hardest thing to do on Habbo, but if you get good at it your rooms can be the best looking and most interesting places for Habbos to roam.

To complete this method of stacking you first need four rollers, two z-shelves and what you want to stack. You also need an idea in your head of what you want it to look like in the end.

First set out your rollers in a small square, so you could travel in a circuit around them.

Next get the two z shelves and place them on the rollers. Place the item you wish to be at the top of the stack on one of the rollers and then move the shelf onto a free roller. In my example my top item is going to be a pineapple plant.

As the items go around on the rollers the pineapple plant will slowly raise up off them by 2 z shelf heights per turn. Let the top item raise as high as needed bearing in mind the rollers themselves are the same as 1 shelf off floor level meaning when finished the stack will drop one level.

Once the item is at the height you need remove the z shelves from the rollers. Get the next item you wish to stack in your hand and as the pineapple rotates around the rollers you need to drop the next item in front of it, just as its about to move. This part of the stacking can take a long time if you don't time the drop right.

Finally you can either re-add the z shelves to add another stacking level or finish the stack by allowing it to be placed on the floor. To do this simply rotate or move a roller to allow floor height.

4. Offer help to new players

This is a time to use your brain, can you remember when you first joined Habbo. This huge hotel, so many buttons and if you clicked the wrong one you was sent into a room full of screaming people all trying to do some wierd pixel dance. It sounds like a horror movie and that's how new players see it! So to use some time and be a nice citizen why not go around looking for new Habbos and helping them.

Who know's they may even become a friend you couldn't imagine not meeting! Lastly, remember Habbo is about friends and meeting new people, how will you do that looking at 4 walls in your room?
