 . . . Miss Alison MacPherson in 1990 it was possible to convert the old "hike shed" and laundry into much needed ground floor accommodation for guests with disabilities.

Alison MacPherson, known to her Guiding friends as Mac, started her Guiding in Surrey where she grew up. In 1945 she was selected for the Guide International Service Team. She travelled with them to Holland where, as a nurse, she established hospitals and feeding stations in the war stricken villages and towns. Mac moved to Sussex in 1954 where she gave twenty years of service as a Guide Leader, Camp Adviser, Trainer and latterly Division President and Chairman of East Grinstead Trefoil Guild.

The Senior Section celebrated seventy five years 1916 - 1971, by holding a camp at each of the Training Centres ; Trail 91. Groups of Rangers "Trailed" from centre to centre using various means of transport. Others stayed at one centre for the whole week joining Rangers from many parts of the world. This was the first time that a computer booking system was used  The Honourable Betty Clay with Rangers from Japan with a modem link between the centres, a sign of things to come.
Foxlease' 70th Birthday in 1992 was celebrated in February with a "Memory Lane Luncheon" to which were invited over 50 guests who represented a connection with each decade. The party included two Guiders who had actually attended the first World Camp in 1924 and four generations of Guiders in Charge; Miss Elizabeth Hartley, Miss Rosemary Hoare, Miss Marjorie King and Mrs Hilary Chittock.
