A visit by The Princess Royal in 1962 was the highlight of Foxlease' Ruby Celebrations. Friends of Foxlease also started in 1962, a group of people who by their subscriptions are committed to maintaining the comforts of Foxlease and to enhancing the beauty of the gardens. With well over 900 members, an AGM is held at Foxlease in July each year and every member receives a Newsletter in February. There are opportunities for active service as well as financial contributions.
In 1968 Anne Archbold Saunderson died and the portrait of her which now hangs in the hall, was presented to Foxlease.
Through the generosity of the Lord Beaverbrook Foundation, the old cow sheds Bridges - were converted into self-catering accommodation in 1972 and became known as "Beaverbrook Lodge". The 50th Birthday of Foxlease was marked with a wonderful Flower Festival.
